About myself
My name is Tingjun Cai,
I am currently a Game QA Tester, but also a freelance game designer, who graduated from SCAD with bachelor degree in Interactive Design and Game Development.
Growing up, I aspire to be a Game Designer, working with 3D models, Unreal blueprints, and integrations to deliver an exciting experience and fun gameplay to the players.
My biggest strength is adaptability. I can quickly and efficiently adapt to new technologies and software. Horning my skill in college and QA testing jobs not only prepared me with the skills to use the specific tool to build games but also set up the mindset of using any given tool to build games.
As a critical thinker, I like solving problems, whether it be modeling or blueprinting. I also enjoy trying out the newest technology in game engines, such as Unreal Engine 5, to see how they enrich the game I will be making in the future.
Not so surprisingly, I’m passionate about both making games and playing games. However, here is one fact about me that might surprise you: I’m an experienced martial art fighter! I practice HEMA (Historical European Martial Art), a martial art that specializes in weapon-based close-quarter combat, such as combats with a longsword, a dagger, or even with a poleaxe!
